This 30,000-square-foot building has a simple rectangular footprint. Many sustainable design features were incorporated in its construction: the main-floor southeast wall is glazed, admitting natural light to the public areas, offices and open tank areas of the water treatment tanks; electric lights are activated by motion sensors; fabric HVAC and dehumidification duct work were used; and native, drought-tolerant plants were used in the landscape.  These features have kept the project in line with LEED® Silver standards.
