Kelly O’Bryans

Kelly O’Bryans is an iconic downtown pub located in Kelowna’s registered historic Old Royal Bank Building from 1911. We designed a renovation which included ground floor storage and service space and a new second floor outdoor patio expansion. There were several challenges with a 100yr old building that had been subject to several layers of undocumented renovations over the years and designing a new vibrant modern space that fit with the historical aesthetics.

The new outdoor covered patio seats over 100ppl and is used year-round with outdoor heaters and roll down translucent vinyl enclosures. Brick from an adjacent historic building demolition was recovered and reused for the exterior cladding end equipment enclosure. Outdated equipment was removed and a new commercial kitchen and outdoor bar was constructed.
