Perch

Meiklejohn Architects worked in consultation with Hatch Interior Design and the Innovation Centre owner group to develop the exterior design for the rooftop restaurant on top of the Innovation Centre that is Perch.  The design plays on the weaving of nest materials through an interplay of vertical solids and voids; wood siding and glazing to create a pattern and exterior expression.

Outside of the restaurant Perch flows into the large furnished roof deck of the Innovation Centre yet is defined through its own seating area fitted out with solid wood decking.  The Perch exterior dining area features a stone-clad exterior fireplace under a timber canopy and several built-in tree boxes enhancing the warmth of the stunning setting with its sweeping views of the City.
