Cardington Apartments is 30 suites of supported living funded by BC Housing and operated by John Howard Society of the Central and South Okanagan. The building design creates a supportive physical environment using sunlit outdoor patios, and a central, supervised, recreation lounge as well created in warm, natural and durable materials, Tenants are also supported through on-site programming offered by IHA, the local Health Authority, and the John Howard Society. The building employs many green design features, including geothermal energy, exhaust air heat recovery, high efficiency boilers, glazing and insulation.
Cardington presents a warm and well lit face to an established street and provides ground floor tenant space to integrate into the established retail area.
